Herbs of Gold is an Australian supplement brand, made in Australia and sold mainly through health food stores and practitioners rather than supermarkets. Mega Health stocks 145 lines from the range. Most lines come in two sizes
This is the single most useful thing to know before you order. Across the range the same formula is usually offered in a smaller and a larger pack — 30 and 60, 60 and 120, 90 and 180 — and the larger size is almost always better value per unit. Where we stock both, they sit next to each other in the listings. Women's Multi + comes in three sizes; Cold & Flu Strike comes in 14, 30 and 60.
Magnesium is the deepest part of the range
Eleven lines, and the differences are about format rather than brand tier. Tablets: Magnesium Forte, Magnesium Citrate 900 (vege capsules) and Magnesium Night, each in two sizes. Powders: Magnesium Powder High Strength in Pineapple and Magnesium Night Plus in Citrus Berry, both in 150g and 300g. There is also a raspberry chewable and a 100g Magnesium Muscle Cream for topical use. If you are choosing between them, the practical question is whether you want to swallow a tablet, stir a powder into water, or apply something to skin — not which is strongest.
Single vitamins and minerals
The B vitamins are the most granular: B1 100mg, B2 200mg, B3 500mg, B5 500mg and B6 100mg as single nutrients, plus Activated B Complex, Activated B Stress, B Sustained Release, Niacin 100mg Extended Release, Biotin 3mg, Activated Folate 500, and two B12 formats — a sublingual tablet and a mixed berry spray. Beyond the Bs: Vitamin C 1000 Plus, Vitamin D3 1000 in capsules and a pineapple liquid, Natural Vitamin E 500IU, Vitamin K2 180 MAX, Iodine Max, Selenium 150 MAX, Chromium MAX, Organic Iron MAX, Ultra Zinc +, a zinc chewable, Zinc Forte + C powder, and Calcium K2 with D3.
Herbs, single and in complexes
Standardised herbal extracts in tablets and capsules — Ginkgo Biloba 6000, St John's Wort 3600, St Mary's Thistle 35 000, Hawthorn 4500, Cranberry 70 000, Super Brahmi 6000, Bulgarian Tribulus Complex, Grape Seed Gold, Bio Curcumin 5400, Berberine Immunoplex, Saffron Mood Balance, Slippery Elm, Organic Oregano Oil, Wormwood Clear and Lysine 1000 + Olive Leaf. Two come as liquids: Olive Leaf in a 500ml bottle, and Elderberry Echinacea & Olive Leaf in blackcurrant flavour in 100ml and 200ml.
Oils, probiotics and enzymes
Fish Oil 1000 in a 200-capsule bottle and Triple Strength Omega-3 in 150s, plus Evening Primrose Oil Daily and Sea Buckthorn Oil. Probiotics come as Probiotic 60 Billion, Probiotic + SB (in 14, 30 and 60) and an unflavoured 50g children's powder. For digestion there are Digest-Zymes and Bromelain Forte. CoQ10 is stocked as CoQ10 150mg in rice bran oil and as Ubiquinol in both 100mg and 150mg.
Children's chewables
Seven lines made for children, all 60-tablet or 60-capsule chewables except the probiotic powder: Calci Care, Calm Care, Fish-i Care, Immune Care, Magnesium Care and Multi Care, plus the Children's Probiotic 15 Billion.
